Job description

IMC Van Driver / Mail Courier
  Job Summary 

The IMC Driver is responsible for operating the IMC service van to deliver instructional materials to school locations throughout the seven-county service area. This position supports participating districts by ensuring timely, accurate, and professional delivery and handling of materials.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Operate the IMC service van to transport instructional materials to and from school locations within the seven-county service area

  • Coordinate with the IMC Clerk to support delivery schedules and material distribution needs

  • Load, transport, and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner

  • Maintain positive, professional communication with school staff and IMC personnel

  • Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and organizational policies while operating the vehicle

  Physical Requirements 
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and maneuver bulky or heavy items independently

  • Ability to load and unload materials into and out of the van and school buildings, with or without the use of a hand truck

  • Ability to perform these essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

  Qualifications 
  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to pass a background check, including a driving record check

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage physical job demands
