Job description

Ready for a career that combines travel, teamwork, and hands-on project work? We're looking for a Merchandiser to join our traveling team and help independent retailers create organized, attractive, and customer-focused stores across our 24-state service region.

Responsibilities

As a Merchandiser, you'll work alongside a Merchandiser Team Leader to execute store projects for independent hardware retailers across House-Hasson's service area. Responsibilities include:

  • Traveling to customer store locations throughout our 24-state region
  • Assisting with new store openings, remodels, and complete store resets
  • Arrange and stock products using planograms and free-flow merchandising techniques
  • Assembling and installing shelving, displays, fixtures, and signage
  • Applying pricing labels and bin tags to ensure accurate product identification
  • Verifying pricing and tag accuracy using dealer pricing programs and system data
  • Organizing sales floors to create a clean, customer-friendly shopping experience
  • Working directly with store owners and managers to prioritize project needs
  • Training store employees on merchandising standards and planogram maintenance
  • Documenting project progress and communicating updates to leadership
  • Collaborating with Retail Project Managers, Set Crew Leaders, and sales teams to meet project deadlines
  • Delivering exceptional customer service while representing House-Hasson Hardware in the field
  • One or more years of merchandising, retail, warehouse, or related experience, preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (training provided)
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 50–85 pounds
  • Climb ladders and install signage as needed
  • Stand, walk, bend, and work in retail environments for extended periods
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work while traveling regularly
