Job description

Batch Maker

Production Team Member

Compensation: $19.50/hr

Monday - Thursday: 2am - 2pm

The Batch Maker produces batches of product, in specification with the proper documentation to ensure the highest level of quality that meets customer needs while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Batch Maker may also be responsible for manual cleaning and the operation of the CIP operations of the facility.ย  They are also responsible for general cleaning in the interior and exterior of their assigned facility.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Understand written and verbal instructions to complete assembly of products.ย  Follow the โ€œManufacture Proceduresโ€ (attached), guidelines and quality standards that are provided by the Compounding Foreman.
  • If authorized, learn special devices such as Automation System and gun scanners.
  • Understand specific and consistent work procedures to satisfy production needs as a team within own department.
  • Understand use of equipment like scales, pumps, valves, knife and basic maintenance tools.
  • Manage basic inventory knowledge, read labels and identify Lot #โ€™s, Material #โ€™s and common sense to identify if raw materials look good to use.ย  Communicate inventory levels to other team members.
  • Understand use of Lot #โ€™s and Material #โ€™s, ensuring that numbers always match current information sheets.
  • Cross train in other work areas within your own department and possibly in other departments.
  • If authorized, may require forklift experience.
  • Identify any processing issues and report them to other team members and Foreman.
  • Act as backup to other team members in their absence.

May also be responsible for:

    • Dismantle production equipment (ie. Pumps)
    • Wash and sanitize production equipment and areas
    • Wash and sanitize packaging equipment and areas
    • Titration of chemicals
    • Perform CIP process
    • Perform visual inspection of all areas
    • Perform swabs on all equipment
    • Complete all required documentation

Safety & GMP Objectives

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with established policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all company safety and environment policies and procedures as well as complying with all OSHA, EPA and other regulatory rules and regulations (THINK โ€œSAFETY FIRSTโ€).

*Ability to recognize unsafe acts and conditions in the facility and implement appropriate corrective actions.

*Ability to fully complete appropriate paperwork related to specific job functions in addition to quality and safety/training.

*Complete all annual training.

*Ability to recognize and report all incidents; even those that do not warrant treatment.

  • Review and execute our Food Safety Plan and MFP Mission Statement in order to provide value to each of our customers with safe, relevant, tasty food products; while never compromising quality.
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMPโ€™s) including proper waste disposal, attire, grooming and hygiene, etc.
