Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and execution of material requisitions for bulk pipe, valves and supports, and other piping components.
  • Preparation of pipe and piping component related calculations, minimum pipe wall thickness calculations, and material evaluations to ClientE B31.1, B31.1 and other codes & standards.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and maintain piping and valve technical specifications, piping material class sheets/specifications and/or material requisitions, bid evaluations and award recommendations.
  • Perform detailed supplier bid technical evaluations and supplier document reviews.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain function (Buyers, Expeditors, etc.) as well as various suppliers regarding technical requirements of purchase orders. Disposition of supplier deviation requests and Request for Information (RFIs).
  • Disposition of Nonconformance Reports (ClientRs) and Field Change Documents (FCDs) generated by Construction.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Knowledgeable of standard piping codes such as ClientE B31.1, B31.3, IPC, etc.
  • Prior experience developing piping material class sheets & technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of Smart Reference Data (SRD) in the creation of Piping Specifications (Preferred).
  • Familiar with Smart Plant Reference Data (Preferred).
  • Familiar with Oracle Agile (Preferred).
