PositionSummary

This position is ideal for a hands on Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineer responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical and electro-mechanical products for the fluid power and valve automation industry. This role leads engineering projects, prepares technical documentation, collaborates with manufacturing and suppliers, and supports product certification and regulatory compliance.

Summary of essential job functions:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing product lines to improve performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
  • Develop engineering concepts, perform technical analyses, prepare test plans, conduct laboratory testing, and document results.
  • Design complex electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies using 3D CAD software.
  • Create, review, and release engineering documentation including:
    • 3D models
    • Detailed manufacturing drawings
    • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
    • Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
    • Test reports
    • Technical specifications
  • Utilize engineering simulation software to evaluate and optimize product designs.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers to ensure successful product launches and resolve technical issues.
  • Review supplier components and approve production samples.
  • Support Manufacturing by troubleshooting technical production issues and implementing engineering solutions.
  • Manage engineering projects from concept through production while meeting schedule, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Perform other engineering duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of product design experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on 3D CAD design experience.
  • Experience creating mechanical assemblies, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • Experience with pneumatic products, valves, fluid power, or industrial automation.
  • Experience with engineering simulation software such as EFD Flow, Maxwell, or similar analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with product testing, validation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience supporting ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Project management experience leading engineering projects from concept to production.
