Job Summary:
The Value Stream Planner III to work in a high volume, fast paced and growing Biotech Company. This individual will coordinate and expedite production according to demand and quality standards. This position will ensure that products are produced on time for distribution. Assist in planning projects that have special requirements and documentation. Applicants should be well versed in production procedures, planning organization, well organized, and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for their role.
Essential Functions:

• Create production orders and Follow-up for on time delivery to meet material requirements.
• Audit system stocking messages for: ABC Codes, Safety Stock, Reorder Points, Reorder Quantities, and Forecast demand signals
• Prioritize and Expedite Production Orders
• Review and schedule product replenishments to meet the master production schedule and satisfy manufacturing production targets.
• Proficiency with performing strategic inventory calculations to optimize production capacity and inventory levels.
• Work independently to review and manage assigned lab(s) production schedule/ plan for production including demand, capacity, and material availability.
• Mentor and provide guidance for planning team members to assist with growth and development.
• Monitor inventory levels in ERP system to ensure that inventories are well stocked and all products are updated.
• Review ERP Reorder messages and/or MRP suggestions and take appropriate actions
• Communicate timely responses to company departments/divisions in relation to; emails, ETA requests, scheduling, work order information requests.
• Review and recommend material for disposition(s) based on "Sell-by" dating and or "Expiration" dates.
• Coordinate cross functional production schedule across production departments and divisions.
• Create and release Work Orders based on demand, material availability and work center capacity.
• Report and communicate with Production, QC, Customer Service and Procurement groups to coordinate material and resource requirements for the production plan.
• Review ERP Reorder Point messages and/or MRP suggestions and take appropriate actions
• Optimize material stocking levels for sell-by and expiration dates and take appropriate actions (retest, extend, use up) to minimize obsolescence/scrap.
• Determine MRP system settings to support product inventory targets and strategies.
• Propose alternate activities to resolve production issues, bottlenecks and gaps between master schedule and production plan.
• Analyze, update and maintain complex spreadsheets. Generate reports and metrics.
• Create and maintain documentation (SOP's, Forms, Checklists) to ensure all processes are documented
• Ensures compliance with company and department policies, procedures, checklists.
• Create, maintain and analyze KPI metrics for planning and manufacturing analysis.
• Track KPI metrics for reporting to planning team.
• Performs other duties as assigned/required.
• Manage special projects or responsibilities as may be required.

Basic Qualification:
  • BA or HS diploma and 9 years' work experience in the areas of: Business Administration, Science, Operations Supply Chain or related field.
  • 5 years' Production Planning experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior production planning experience utilizing ERP/MRP Systems
  • Prior experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Prior experience handling multiple product lines with high volume and high mix of SKU's
  • Ability to multi-task, work at a fast pace and handle a high-volume workload.
  • Prior experience managing products with expiration dating
  • Familiar with ISO or GMP regulatory compliance requirements
  • Prior experience in life science, biotechnology industry or process manufacturing industry Understanding of Lean Six Sigma, JIT, Kanban concepts
  • 3 years of experience in an ISO13485 environment.

The pay range for this full-time position is a salary $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD Annually. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The pay offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
