Job Description Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring that production schedules are met, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC). This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. In this role, you will contribute to the production of advanced electrical components, modules and integrated systems that power commercial and military aircraft and vehicles as well as other mission systems. Our facility in Pompano Beach, FL specializes in producing high-quality electrical power systems, and other aerospace technologies that support both commercial and military aircraft, ground vehicles and other military and electrical power systems. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Accountable for the safety of your direct employees, and responsible for ensuring the environment is safe and all safe practices are followed.
  • Maintain high standards of quality by implementing and monitoring quality control processes.
  • Address any corrective actions needed to support the effectiveness of the quality management system
  • Lead and manage the execution of manufacturing processes to ensure timely and efficient production of new product introductions, lab demonstrators and low-rate production requirements.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of products.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes and control waste to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery
  • Develop and implement standard work procedures and best practices.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, program management and other departments to resolve issues related to safety, quality, delivery, cost and/or related business KPI's
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide manufacturing guidance and accountability for new product introduction (NPI)

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college a minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing or Engineering roles (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of new production introduction and low-rate production launch
  • Ability to read and translate Engineering drawings to assist assemblers during first time builds of products
  • Experience in the aerospace and/or automotive industry

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK operating model and/or experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
