Job description

Position Title: Valet ? Gate Security
Reports To: Valet Manager
Department: Clubhouse
Employment Dates: TBD ? Seasonal Temporary Mid-May through Mid-October

Rate: $20-24
Purpose of Position:
Under the direction of the Valet Manager, the Valet is a non- exempt seasonal temporary position responsible for professionally handling members, guests, and vendors arrivals and departures, and providing gatekeeping security for the Club. Ensures the highest level of service as meets expectations of Club members. Performs all work in accordance with essential functions and responsibilities as described below and in the spirit of the Club's mission and vision.
Responsibilities:
Duties shall include but not be limited to:
? Oversees all entrances to the Club at the Gatehouse:
o Greets all members by name and with a smile.
o Verifies entry and log all vehicles and persons using the daily and seasonal lists provided by the Member Services dept.
o Relays via radio all arrivals of members, guests, vendors, and their intentions upon entry. Follows appropriate radio protocols.
o Politely but firmly rejects and detours tourists or unexpected guests.
o Directs all unaccompanied guests to the Clubhouse valets.
o Immediately notifies Valet Manager and/or COO of any potential security issues.
o Keeps the Gatehouse and surrounding areas neat, clean, and welcoming.
? Manages members, guests, vendors, and delivery arrivals and departures to the Clubhouse
o Opens doors and greet members arriving in vehicles by name and with a smile.
o Assists with luggage from vehicles to and from cottages.
o Coordinates golf bag transfers with the Outdoor Services department.
o Greets all guests and vendors, directing them to the front lobby or to their appropriate destination.
o Parks and retrieve vehicles in a systematic manner.
o Directs vendors and
o Keeps front lots and sidewalks, neat, clean, and welcoming.
? Drives Club vans and vehicles:
o Provides van service to and from airport and ferryboats.
o Coordinates all arrivals and departures with the Valet supervisor or manager
o Greets all members by name and with a smile.
o Assists members and guests with luggage.
o Maintains vans and other club vehicles, monitoring gas, oil, and keeping the interiors clean.
