JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Hospitalist Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Phoenix, Arizona Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-Hour Inhouse Shifts Call Type: In-House PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Obstetric and Gynecological patients; Newborns =34 weeks gestation Case Mix: Obstetrics (prenatal, labor & delivery, postpartum), Gynecology FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: Labor & Delivery unit within a 79-bed medical center REQUIRED PROCEDURES Vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, Obstetric emergencies, Gynecologic consultations and procedures as needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified in OB/GYN Licenses: Active Arizona license or Universal License (IMLC) Experience: Minimum 1 year post-residency clinical experience Duties & Responsibilities Provide 24-hour in-house coverage for obstetrical and gynecological patients, including labor management and emergency care.

Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries and manage postpartum care. Consult on gynecological emergencies and perform indicated surgical procedures. Collaborate with nursing staff, midwives, and specialty backup as needed.

Ensure accurate documentation and handoff communication in the EMR.
