Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule
  • Day Shift
  • 3x12 Hours
  • 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Weekend coverage required based on unit needs
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
  • First-time travelers not accepted
  • Large hospital experience highly preferred
  • Must be able to circulate in the operating room
  • Must be proficient in performing sterile vaginal exams
  • Active RN license required at time of submission

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and surgical obstetric patients. The ideal candidate will have strong fetal monitoring skills, labor management experience, and the ability to support both routine and high-risk deliveries in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assess, monitor, and care for laboring and postpartum patients
  • Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal status
  • Perform sterile vaginal examinations and labor assessments
  • Assist with inductions, labor augmentation, and delivery procedures
  • Circulate for cesarean section procedures as needed
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
  • Recognize and respond to obstetrical emergencies
  • Educate patients and families throughout the childbirth process
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
