Medical Technician

Position at Clarvida - Idaho Crisis Center Location: Nampa (on site) Employment Type: PT Salary: $21 - $22/hour

Clarvida is seeking medical technicians to provide direct medical and programmatic nursing care to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. As part of an interdisciplinary team within Clarvida's Community Crisis Center, you will support clients through the admission process, assess eligibility, address minor medical issues, and help develop goal-directed care plans. You will also contribute to crisis stabilization by assisting in de-escalation, healthcare education, and coordination of medical services. This role is essential in ensuring safety, stabilization, and compassionate support for clients in crisis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct medical and nursing support for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis
  • Assist with admission screenings and determine continued eligibility
  • Address basic medical needs and implement goal-directed care plans
  • Participate in healthcare education with clients
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary crisis intervention team
  • Provide oversight to personnel administering medical care
  • Maintain trauma-informed and culturally responsive care practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed in Idaho as EMS/EMT, LPN, or RN
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing severe or chronic mental illness preferred
  • Ability to pass all background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW
  • Strong communication and crisis-intervention skills
