Job description

Assistant General Manager

National Corporate Housing looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day sales and operations in the office. With their leadership the office will build a strong market presence and continued customer loyalty. The selected person needs to have a professional image, strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain budgeted occupancy and gross profit goals for calendar year
  • Supervise and oversee productivity of office team in GM’s absence
  • Initiate organized applications to ensure better inventory/sales management
  • Manage unit inventory to include all Notices, MTM fee assignments, discounted renewal options, NCH “special” terms, and complementary unit cleanings at time of renewal; alert GM to unit stats daily as needed.
  • Ensure proper processing of all rental paperwork from audit of terms to OSCAR accuracy, to consolidated and accurate filing.
  • Liaison for GM at all properties as needed to ensure site follow-through
  • Proactive attention and contact with guests requiring special care or management support/decision making to resolve conflict quickly
  • Minimize all excess labor costs, product/supply waste, organize all purchases in conjunction with GM recommendations; ensure daily attention to all cost issues
  • Initiate Operational System goals to promote superior rental quality
  • Support Sales Team efforts by onsite visits to rent negotiate/relationship build
  • Audit furniture & houseware billing; ensure extras are removed, ensure OSCAR billing is prompt and accurate; bring any cost variances to GM’s attention
  • Ensure effectiveness with daily attention to unit inspections for needed enhancements, cable equipment pick up, organized guest departures and timely unit pick up’s as directed by GM
  • Attend weekly Sales Meetings and Operations Meetings
  • Support all immediate GM initiatives
  • Voice opinions and promote team morale and high energy level by example
  • Coach and support all office positions
  • Other Duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be a motivated self-starter with a drive to succeed in a Team environment
  • Must be well spoken with strong presentation and communication skills
  • Honest, hardworking, reliable, and organized individual who can multi task
  • Bachelor’s Degree is ideal
  • Management experience is preferred
  • Must be able to motivate, inspire and lead teams to make sales goals
  • Experience in relocation, property management, or real estate industry is a plus
  • The ability to speak a second language fluently is a plus
  • Moderate mathematical and basic computer skills are a necessity
  • Must be able to offer & implement creative solutions in the selling process, operations, customer service and employee issues
  • The employee must be able to climb stairs to inspect apartments prior to move in if needed
