Job description

General Summary - Overall Position Purpose
To act as the primary point of contact for the veteran/military students, to serve as the VA Certifying Official for Maryville University, and to act as an analyst and coordinator for specific projects. Participate in developing solutions for Veterans Services and
in certifying veteran educational benefits on behalf of Maryville University, and monitor progress of projects and track identified
system problems through completion/resolution.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Primary contact for all Veterans and Active-Duty military students.
2. Certifying Official for all veterans' students utilizing VA educational benefits through Enrollment Manager and other military benefit systems and tracking their progression within Ellucian Colleague.
3. Educate Veterans and Active-Duty military students concerning VA benefits to which they are entitled, educational and non- educational.
4. Facilitation of a Veteran/Military student community/engagement within the Salesforce CRM database.
5. Manage and reconcile all payments of military benefits on the student account, and Debt Management for students receiving VA benefits.
6. Recruitment and supervision of VA work-study student(s).
7. Assist Registration and Graduation Operations team members with their primary job functions at peak times.
8. Assist students from all populations via phone, email, and live chat with inquiries related to the areas of expertise housed within the Strategic Enrollment Management Division
9. Complete Special Projects, as assigned.

Required knowledge, skills, or abilities:
• Strong competencies of integrated software systems, as well as Windows applications, file management, document imaging, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn new systems with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to multi-task and work in an open office atmosphere and/or virtual environment
• Ability to handle various complex responsibilities and prioritize
appropriately
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment and ability to be adaptable, intuitive, and flexible
• Strong sense of initiative; self-starter Ability to meet strict deadlines
• 2 or more years of experience in VA Services or military experience and knowledge of VA programs and areas outside of the military and within the educational eenefits realm
• Experience with VA educational benefits resources and systems experience with Ellucian Colleague and/or Salesforce CRM
• High comfort level with technology and integrated system-process thinking
• Analytical and mathematical skills for reporting on student data and calculating student tuition and fees
  • Required Formal Education Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience in the Office of the
    Registrar/Academic Records

Compensation & Benefits- $36,516.13-$54,774.19
  • Actual compensation will be commensurate with education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market considerations.
