Veterinary Technician
Location: New Caney, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | No Weekends
Pay Range: Based on experience and licensing

At Big Thicket Veterinary Clinic, we are a full-service veterinary practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. We are a busy, fast-paced clinic looking for a bright, reliable Veterinary Technician who brings energy, teamwork, and a passion for veterinary medicine. We offer a supportive environment with mentorship and training available for those continuing to grow their technical skills.
What We're Looking For
• Veterinary technician with prior clinical experience preferred
• Licensed/credentialed technicians encouraged to apply (not required)
• Confident with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support (or willing to learn)
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills
• Dependable, organized, and able to multi-task in a busy environment
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Able to work independently while supporting the team
• Positive attitude with strong initiative and work ethic
• Spanish-speaking is a plus but not required
What You'll Do
• Assist veterinarians with exams and treatments
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
• Perform dental cleanings (if trained)
• Animal restraint for exams, treatments, and procedures
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Laboratory procedures and in-house diagnostics
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Provide hospitalized patient care and monitoring
• Educate clients on medications, nutrition, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate medical records and charges
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
