REGISTERED NURSE – GERIATRIC
VA Palo Alto Health Care System
Menlo Park, CA and Palo Alto, CA
Contract Position
Pay: $70 to $85 per hour
Full Time. 40 hours per week
1.0 FTE. Long term federal contract

Position Overview
Provide direct nursing care to geriatric veterans in inpatient and long-term care settings across the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Initial assignment at Menlo Park with potential rotation to Palo Alto main campus and other VAPAHCS locations.

Duties
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments
• Administer medications and treatments
• Monitor chronic and acute conditions
• Coordinate care with providers and interdisciplinary teams
• Document in VA electronic medical record
• Follow VA clinical policies and infection control standards

Schedule
• Day, evening, or rotating shifts
• Monday through Friday with possible weekends
• Federal holidays observed

Requirements
• Active RN license in any US state
• BLS required. ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year recent geriatric, med-surg, or long-term care experience
• Ability to pass VA background and credentialing

Contract Details
