Job Description:

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
  • Manage Davenport VAX systems environment critical to our shop floor operations (scanners, printers, software emulation).
  • Manage IT windows infrastructure environment that the Charon VAX emulator runs on.
  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents on the VAX.
  • Manage user accounts using existing VAX processes.
  • Operate within IS standards and conventions and applicable Business Unit IT Standards.
  • Install, configure, and deliver upgrades using standard IT application lifecycle methodologies.
  • Ensure that installed software and hardware is managed and licensed according to the legal and business requirements.
  • Maintain system uptime consistent with IT and business requirements.
  • Develop tools and practices to improve the operation of the systems and facilities.
  • Document new processes and maintain existing knowledge bases.
  • Identify cyber threats against the system and report to Corporate Information Security group and follow up on the remediation
  • Supports Compliance activities by performing annual system testing for adherence to IT System and SOX Audit requirements, assists SOX audit teams and internal audit teams as required, and performs Disaster Recovery testing as required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Partner with network resources to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in the business.
  • Partner with corporate security, network, and application teams for IT security.
  • Partner with IT Operations to improve processes.
  • Maintain consistency of practice at Davenport in operating platform, operating systems, backup, and disaster recovery (DR) approaches.
  • Provide assistance to VAX application programmers.
