This position serves as a coordinating and production role in category content. Assisting the eCommerce Site Experience Manager in researching and implementing best practices in user experience, product pages, category pages, onsite product placement, product data entry and data quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Produce unique, accurate product copy that meets departmental guidelines and company brand voice and standards.
  • Utilize AI-assisted content creation tools, where appropriate, to improve efficiency while ensuring all published content is accurate, original, on-brand, and reviewed for quality and compliance.
  • Create and update product page style guides and product page templates. Maintain these and other reference materials to ensure consistency in product page design, content, and user experience.
  • Design, produce, and maintain category page content using customer behavior data to create a high-quality user experience. Consider category and subcategory navigation, product filters, attributes, and informational content.
  • Use keyword research and organic search optimization tools to create SEO-focused site content that supports traffic and conversion goals.
  • Research industry, eCommerce, SEO, AI, and content marketing best practices and trends. Evaluate opportunities and present recommendations for implementation.
  • Use customer feedback tools, including product reviews, customer Q&A, and Incorrect Product Information submissions, to improve and maintain accurate onsite content.
  • Review, edit, and optimize site content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, SEO effectiveness, and customer experience.
  • Communicate with Category Merchant team members to align content strategy and onsite product placement with merchandising priorities and sales goals.
  • Assist the eCommerce Site Experience Manager and Marketing department with additional projects, content initiatives, and site experience improvements as needed.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in content management systems, AI-assisted content tools, SEO platforms, and other content creation software required to perform the role effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in copywriting, content creation, eCommerce, merchandising, digital marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to grammar, spelling, accuracy, and detail.
  • Strong creative, technical, and research writing abilities with the ability to adapt content to align with brand voice and style guidelines.
  • Experience with SEO best practices and keyword research tools is preferred.
  • Experience using AI-assisted content creation tools while exercising sound editorial judgment to ensure content is accurate, original, and on brand.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to learn technical product information quickly.
  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn basic HTML and content management systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Interest in or knowledge of cycling, outdoor recreation, or related products is strongly preferred.
