Job description

Utz Quality Foods is seeking aRetail Execution Managerto join our Sales team near Jacksonville, Florida.The Retail Execution Manager supports the assigned channel by executing in-store DSD strategies that drive sales, distribution, and shelf presence Working under the direction of senior sales leadership, this person builds relationships with store-level and local market contacts, supports the Utz field sales team with execution tools and reporting, and ensures strong in-store standards across assigned accounts

Responsibilities

  • Execute in-store sales priorities and growth initiatives across assigned convenience and drug accounts to achieve volume and distribution targets.
  • Support development and execution of territory plans that align with overall business directives and drive sales growth within assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate execution of account plans to ensure timely follow-through on commitments and opportunities within the territory.
  • Use available sales data and store-level observations to identify opportunities to improve distribution, optimize assortment, and expand shelf space.
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales by introducing additional Utz products to existing accounts and supporting new account development.
  • Handle store-level opportunities, issues, and store merchandising integrity, ensuring that customer service levels are at or above stated goals and standards.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with store managers, route supervisors, and local operations contacts.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Key Account Managers, Customer Service, and other internal teams to ensure alignment, customer support, and resolution.
  • Follow up on store-level execution and performance including evaluation of short- and long-term effectiveness of sales initiatives.
  • Support Sales Operations by contributing to account performance updates and sharing field observations to help identify opportunities.
  • Apply the Plan-Sell-Execute-Evaluate process effectively across the sales organization.
  • Attend trade shows as needed to benefit the business.
  • Initiate process improvements and provide recommendations to build efficiencies, reduce costs, and deliver superior customer service.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Experience

  • 1+ years of successful DSD sales experience, preferably in the beverage or snacks categories.
  • Familiarity with the CPG industry, including account and trade management, planning, sales support, and performance management.
  • Understanding of shopper behavior, insights, trade promotion planning, presentation creation and delivery, and customer business planning.
  • Proven experience creating and maintaining accounts based on excellent customer relationships.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and coordinate activities with internal support teams and customers.
  • High level of business acumen including strong negotiation skills, crisis management, sales forecasting, and overall business development.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and perform under time pressures and constraints with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and individually.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant sales/CRM tools.
  • Must have valid driver's license and be able to travel to accounts for face-to-face meetings.
  • Primarily field-based role with approximately 25% overnight travel.
  • Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling light to moderate weight cases and bags of product.
