Registered Nurse

Winston-Salem, NC Pay From: $38 Per Hour

MUST: The Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse should have the following:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
  • Ambulatory experience
  • Pre-Op and or PACU experience or ICU experience will be considered depending on experience
  • Comfortable working pre-op and PACU
  • Comfortable starting and administering IV's
  • Experience updating patients charts using EMR
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive
  • Providing patient education
  • Monitoring and assessing patients
  • Discussing pre-op instructions, procedures and medical histories
  • BLS and ACLS Certified

    • DUTIES: The Pre-Op /PACU Registered Nurse's duties include but are not limited to the following:

    • Initiate and administer IV's
    • Review paperwork with patients
    • Monitor patients post operatively
    • Assess patients
    • Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments
    • Provide patient education on surgical procedures
    • Record patients' medical information and vital signs
    • Provide pre- and post-surgery care to patients
    • Assist providers as needed
    • Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patients
