Job description

) NuRoc Health and Rehab is seeking for a strong leader to lead, direct and manage the overall functions of the Rehabilitation Services as the Director of Rehab (DOR). As the DOR, you will be responsible to maintain the efficiency of the department operations while assure competency of all staff and care for the residents.
Pay: up to $130,000 based on skills and experience. OT is preferred.
Job Functions:
  • Responsible for direction of the Rehabilitation Services department and staff
  • Observe and evaluate treatment effect and recommend changes to physician if necessary
  • Perform an appropriate assessment on all patients as related to the therapy requested
  • Prepare reports regarding rehabilitation services, i.e., utilization, performance improvement, service data, outcome data and productivity
  • Plan and organize orientation and in-service training for department staff members and participate in guidance and educational programs
  • Review request for physical therapy and physicians' orders.
  • Interview resident to determine type of treatments needed and schedule therapy as ordered.
  • Evaluate type of therapy most desirable after consulting with physician.
  • Participate in the development and implementation or resident assessments (MDS) and care plans, including quarterly reviews.
  • Brief and educate resident of procedures involved in physical therapy and prepare necessary equipment.
  • Recommend modifications or changes in the resident's therapy program based on own evaluation of progress.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements

Requirements:
  • A graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy, with a Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree
  • Must be currently licensed in Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
  • 3+ years of clinical experience with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Assume responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
