Utility Worker!


 

Location: Auto Owners Insurance, Lansing MI

Pay: $17.50/hr.

Schedule: Monday to Friday – 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Role Overview: Utility staff members work to ensure the facility is clean, sanitary, safe and suitable for food preparation and the customer experience. Utility staff help ensure equipment, tables, chairs, floors, trash bins, loading areas, and food storage areas are clean, in good working condition, and are regularly attended to.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Hospitality Support: Interacts with guests and customers at events with professionalism, service, and grace, upholding the customer service expectations of CDS and the client/account.
  • Kitchen Support: Assists with set up for food service, including equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction, in accordance with specific area needs; may check food temperatures and/or prepare areas for daily operations; may operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain Cleanliness:  Clean and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation. Washes pots, pans, and other service ware ensuring sanitary handling; organizes and replaces service ware to appropriate locations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of Culinary/ Hospitality Experience
