Job description

The Utility Lineman will focus on the installation and maintenance of telecommunication lines, working primarily within medium-sized teams of 4 to 6 members. This role requires adherence to strict safety protocols while performing system maintenance, emergency repairs, and fiber cable installation. Occasional emergency call-outs and overtime are part of the job, with opportunities for advancement and specialized training through certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair telecommunication utility lines
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Perform emergency repairs as needed, responding occasionally to urgent call-outs
  • Install fiber optic cables efficiently and accurately
