Job description

  • Own work order planning and scheduling for Fervo's fleet of geothermal generating facilities
  • Convert preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance Work Requests into fully planned work orders in the CMMS
  • Define scope, procedures, parts, labor hours, discipline requirements, permits, and outage or access windows
  • Process PM/CbM work and Work Requests from Operations, Maintenance, Commissioning, Engineering, and Reliability
  • Build reusable work procedures by equipment type
  • Iterate plans using technician feedback and verify parts, permits, and access requirements before release
  • Maintain a 4 to 6 week rolling backlog of planned, ready-to-schedule work across all sites
  • Maintain searchable maintenance history for each asset, including work performed, parts consumed, and findings
  • Build and maintain the weekly fleet maintenance schedule covering 100% of available work hours
  • Coordinate crew hours and schedule commitments with site maintenance supervisors
  • Bundle jobs to reduce mobilization and production overhead
  • Support execution of unplanned opportunities from the planned backlog and rework affected plans and schedules
  • Own CMMS planning and scheduling data, work order quality, backlog accuracy, and schedule compliance reporting
  • Track and report schedule compliance, PM compliance, backlog size in weeks, and planned/reactive/emergency work ratios
  • Maintain asset hierarchy, PM templates, and the job plan library in the CMMS
  • Help develop CMMS and work-stream training plans for new employees
  • Identify and reserve parts and materials and coordinate lead times with Supply Chain
  • Update recurring work procedures based on lessons learned
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Commissioning, and Reliability Technicians
  • Coordinate equipment access, outage windows, and schedule changes affecting plant availability with Operations
  • Escalate unresolved resource conflicts, parts shortfalls, and schedule risks to the Director, Maintenance & Reliability
  • Spend meaningful time in the field with Operations and Maintenance teams, without performing hands-on maintenance work
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of maintenance planning and scheduling experience in an industrial, power generation, or process plant environment
  • Directly supported a workforce of between 10 and 20 technicians
  • Direct working experience with a CMMS (MaintainX, Maximo, SAP, or comparable) for work order planning, PM template management, backlog reporting, and KPI management
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts
  • Experience scheduling multi-discipline maintenance work across more than one site or unit concurrently
  • Experience coordinating parts and materials lead times with a supply chain or procurement function
  • Strong written communication
  • Preferred: Experience in geothermal or other utility-scale power generation maintenance
  • Preferred: Professional background as a plant maintenance technician, engineer, or operator, with relevant experience estimating labor hours
  • Preferred: Familiarity with RCM or FMEA-based maintenance strategy development
  • Preferred: Professional credentials such as CMRP, CMRT, or similar certifications
