A Day in the Life

Socket is seeking a skilled Utilities Locator to join our talented workforce. This role is responsible for locating underground utility lines for the fiber plant, in compliance with state laws and regulations. It plays a key role in our fiber expansion efforts, enabling us to bring fiber to new areas. This role may require being on call, adhering to varying schedules, and overtime.ย 


What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

Locating underground utility lines

Use stakes, flags, and/or paint to mark location

Document completion and any problems

Ability to route and manage your own workload independently

Operate and maintain equipment

Communicate with designated parties on updates and corrections

Able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 75lbs

Ability to maintain a clean driving record and driver's license

Being comfortable with working in varying elements

Ability to navigate rugged terrain

Other duties as assigned by supervisorย 

Regular reliable attendance
