As we continue expanding across the western United States, we're looking for experienced Utility Locating Technicians for our Public 811 Locating Team in Texas.


Position Overview

As a Utility Locator Technician, you'll locate and mark public 811 underground utilities supporting major fiber optic projects throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where some travel may be required. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, and being part of a growing organization that values its employees.


What You'll Do

  • Locate and accurately mark underground fiber optic utilities
  • Read and interpret utility maps, plans, and construction prints
  • Operate locating equipment safely and efficiently
  • Complete required documentation and daily reports
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and teammates
  • Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards
  • Maintain company equipment and vehicle
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 + years utility locating experience required
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to walk uneven terrain including dirt, gravel, grass, and roadways
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous construction experience
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
