Job description

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Parts Running & Logistics: Picking up parts, tools, and materials from vendors and delivering them to technicians.
  • Yard & Shop Maintenance: Cleaning and organizing the yard, warehouse, and shop area.
  • General Labor: Assisting mechanics with repairs, helping in the shop, loading/unloading trucks, and moving equipment within the yard. Assist with the decommission process & prepping equipment for sale.
  • Safety & Compliance: Following all safety protocols, maintaining a clean workspace to avoid hazards, and performing basic vehicle inspections.
  • Administrative Support: Potential for running errands.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record required to drive company vehicles.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and pull heavy items (often 50–80 lbs), as well as standing, kneeling, and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to keep track of inventory, parts, and maintenance schedules.
  • Safety Mindset: Commitment to following safety rules, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Basic Mechanical Knowledge: Familiarity with tools and equipment is preferred.
  • Technology Skills: Proficient with computers, tablets, apps.
  • Occasionally use small power tools
  • May work as lead man in a labor crew
  • Will usually exercise considerable independent judgement to plan work of a routine nature; accepts responsibility for several phases and expedites that work without having to be told or be explained the procedure for performing duties
  • Other related duties as required.
  • Must comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
  • Must be able to pass physical examination, pre-employment if necessary, and as required by the company.
  • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
  • Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.)
  • Must be clean shaven and able to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment, when required.
