Tom Krutis Excavating Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Pipe Laborer to join our team. As a Pipe Laborer, you will play a vital role in setting up pipe lasers, installing storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and water mains, and leading the pipe crew in the trenches. If you have experience in trench safety and reading site plans, we want to hear from you!

With our highly trained employees and modern equipment, we ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Servicing all of New Jersey, we specialize in a wide range of services, including excavation, grading, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, water mains, demolition, land clearing, and more. Our commitment to quality and safety sets us apart in the industry.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Set up and operate pipe lasers for accurate pipe installation.
  • Install storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and water mains in accordance with project specifications.
  • Lead the pipe crew in the trenches, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to trench safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Read and understand site plans and blueprints to execute tasks accurately.
  • Assist in preparing work sites by clearing obstructions and setting up necessary equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on tools and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the project manager and other team members to coordinate tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proven experience with setting up pipe lasers and installing storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and water mains.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a pipe crew in trench work.
  • Strong knowledge of trench safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to read and understand site plans and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Schedule:

  • Full Time
  • Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Work Location:

  • Serving Union, Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, Essex, Morris, Hudson, Bergen, Monmouth & Ocean Counties. We schedule our crew members at the sites that are closer to their home base.
