Reports To: Construction Project Manager - Telecom
Compensation: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 Annually

Job Summary:
As the Manager, Construction you will ultimately be responsible for overseeing construction crews, ensuring work is performed safely, accurately, and on schedule while maintaining project budgets and quality standards. You will coordinate field operations, supervise team performance, and manage project deliverables. As the Manager, Construction, your customers are internal project teams, customers, and stakeholders, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company’s success through leadership, operational excellence, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
• Manage and coordinate the activities of assigned construction crews
• Evaluate employee performance and support skill development for team advancement
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and administer disciplinary actions when necessary
• Train Foremen and support field leadership development
• Coordinate scheduling, material ordering, and project execution with Project Managers
• Review and approve production reports, As-Builts, Closeout packages, and invoices
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs

Required Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• OSHA 30 certification required
• CPR/First Aid certification required
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record required

Experience
• Proven experience managing construction crews and field operations
• Experience in aerial and underground telecommunications construction
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and project cost management

Skills and Abilities
• Ability to read and interpret building plans, blueprints, specifications, and RFPs
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency (Excel, Word, scheduling software, HCSS Heavy Bid, etc.)
• Ability to perform job costing, profit calculations, percentages, and budget forecasting
• Ability to analyze data, define problems, and implement effective solutions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior supervisory experience in telecommunications construction
• Advanced knowledge of contracts and billing
• Ability to estimate small to medium construction projects
• Experience training and mentoring Foremen and Construction Managers

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Work safely around heavy equipment and machinery
• Maintain visual and audible awareness of crews, vehicles, and moving equipment
• Must wear required PPE including safety boots, glasses, hard hats, and applicable safety gear
