This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and proper operation of all equipment associated with utility plant and distribution system serving the UNMC/Neb Med campus.
Starts, operates, and shuts down boilers and their auxiliaries, chillers and their auxiliaries, generators and their auxiliaries, and all other necessary plant equipment from a central control room.
Responsible for the for the operation and monitoring of the 13.8 KV and 5KV electrical distribution system serving the UNMC/Neb Med campus.
Directs the activities and provides training to the Utility Operator I.
Performs preventative and routine maintenance as assigned.
