Job description

well-established regional property management and residential community development company with facilities in the Greater Detroit, Michigan area is currently seeking a Project Manager for a Direct Hire opportunity with their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager looking for a company that offers long-term stability, diverse construction projects, excellent autonomy, and the opportunity to oversee infrastructure, utilities, facility improvements, and capital projects across multiple residential communities.


Local candidates are preferred, but relocation assistance may be available for well-qualified candidates.

Project Manager compensation is anticipated to be $80,000–$100,000 annually, based on each candidate's experience and education. All well-qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate.

Qualified Project Managers will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of recent and relevant experience in construction project management, civil construction, commercial construction, residential development, or infrastructure projects.
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating contractors, scheduling projects, budgeting, and managing construction timelines is highly preferred.
  • Experience overseeing capital improvement projects including roads, utilities, buildings, infrastructure, water systems, or wastewater facilities.
  • Experience working with municipalities, building departments, engineers, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to develop project schedules, monitor milestones, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Experience approving invoices, processing change orders, negotiating contracts, and preparing project cost reports.
  • Experience procuring materials, coordinating subcontractors, and obtaining permits.
  • Knowledge of construction quality standards, OSHA safety practices, and environmental compliance.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to travel locally between community properties as needed.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is beneficial but not required. Equivalent construction project management experience will be strongly considered.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. No H-1B sponsorship or student visas will be considered.
  • Must be able to successfully complete standard pre-employment requirements including background check, drug screen, and professional references.
