Job description

George Nice & Sons will be adding Project Managers to our team. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package at or above industry standards. Compensation is based on experience and certifications.

We are seeking a motivated self-starter for a full-time Project Manager position to join our team. Candidates must be well versed in the underground utility and sitework industry.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review plans and specifications to thoroughly understand the scope of a project.
  • Attend project meetings and conduct site visits.
  • Create schedules, budgets, change order proposals, process submittals, RFIs, and other typical construction administrative items.
  • Manage crews and subcontractors on various projects.
  • Assist the lead estimator with bidding projects.
  • Manage cost control, billings, collections, change management and monthly status reports.
Qualifications
  • Expert in reading and comprehending blueprints and other construction documents.
  • Expert in the sitework and underground utility industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer and software skills preferably in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in site development, underground utilities, or road building.
