Position Description
Job Title: Estimator/Project Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional individual to join our Estimating and Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for pursuing construction projects and managing them from estimation through final completion.
Job Duties:
  • Complete quantity takeoffs on assigned bids including earthwork takeoffs using Trimble Business Center (TBC)
  • Develop detailed cost estimates using B2W Estimate
  • Review each bid with a manager or peer group prior to submission
  • Complete project setup on successful bids
  • Prepare submittals, project schedules and permits as required
  • Manage documents using PlanGrid cloud
  • Work directly with project supervisors to ensure their success and the success of the project
  • Facilitate progress billing as required to ensure timely payments and positive cash flow
  • Review and approve subcontractor and vendor payments
  • Monitor contract progress including costs, cash flow and overall performance using various reports in B2W Track and Viewpoint Vista
  • Closely monitor progress against the project schedule through completion.

Salary:
  • Competitive salary: $75,000-$105,000
  • Commensurate with experience and negotiable

Position Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organization skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals inside and outside the organization
  • Strong computer skills including basic software such as Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Construction industry experience

Beneficial Qualifications:
  • Experience with B2W Software Estimate and Track, Viewpoint Vista, and Trimble Business Center (TBC) or other CAD software
  • Specific experience with excavating, grading, earthworks, and utility operations.
  • MDOT project experience beneficial
