Job description


Status: Part-Time| Closing Date: Aug 21st, 2026


Library Assistant

This position ensures library materials are accurately processed, sorted, and shelved so patrons can easily locate them. Working independently, the employee maintains daily circulation services, handles financial transactions, performs opening/closing duties, and keeps the facility clean, safe, and organized. On the library floor, they assist patrons with basic technology, reader inquiries, and resource navigation. Additionally, this role helps design community programming, creates engaging material displays, represents the library at annual outreach events, and supports ongoing operational improvements.


High School Diploma or GED, combined with sufficient relevant experience demonstrating the ability to perform the required duties. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.


This part-time position offers an hourly wage of $16.00 along with some fantastic perks!
