Job description

Description
The School of Information (iSchool) at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for part-time Lecturer positions. We seek candidates qualified to teach a range of courses in the iSchool's undergraduate degree programs in Informatics (https://www.ischool.utexas.edu/programs/informatics) as well as the Master of Science in Information Studies (MSIS) (https://www.ischool.utexas.edu/programs/master-science-information-studies) program. Thus, ideal candidates will have broad professional experience in one or more core areas of information studies and informatics.
We seek candidates who could teach in one or more of the following areas:
  • Human-Centered Data Science
  • User-Experience Design
  • Health Informatics
  • Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (including AI in specific industries)
  • Archives
  • Librarianship
  • Programming
  • Statistics
  • Information Security
  • Information Privacy

Qualifications
Candidates should hold a graduate degree and have at least two years of professional experience in a field relevant to the subject(s) in which they teach. Candidates must be prepared to teach regularly on campus at UT Austin.
