Position Overview:

Our Truck Driver position will be a key part of our USPS mail operations team in BWI.The person hired for this position will transport containerized USPS mail from the BWI airport to our off-property sorting facility and then back to the airport. We currently have Part-Time positions only. The hours are 2am-6am, and 2:30am-6:30-am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

Operate and navigate company-owned or leased vehicles in excess of four tons including tractor/trailer/tanker, forklift and mechanized equipment;

Document, record, and track all required log sheets IAW, FMCSA, DOT and Quantem Aviation Services, Inc requirements;

Knowledge of local major and minor roadways and the ability to effectively use maps and direction for efficient travel routing;

Identify, troubleshoot and service devices, parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles;

Service truck with fuel, oil and other fluids and perform preventative maintenance to tractor-trailer;

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent;

Clean driver's abstract;

Must possess CDL Class A License

Successful completion of the SIDA airport badging or background check process is required for this location.

Minimum two years' commercial driving experience;

Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance;

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;

Ability to read and interpret written communication and reports;

Sitting while driving for long periods of time in possible inclement weather;

Ability to use hands and arms to install, position, move and manipulate items;

Ability to climb, balance, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and handle materials;

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;

A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Work Environment:

Position requires sitting and driving for long periods of time.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms;

Able to speak and hear efficiently.
