Essential Duties

  • Prepare sterile compounded medications, including IV admixtures, under pharmacist supervision.
  • Perform aseptic technique in a controlled sterile compounding environment.
  • Follow all applicable USP <797> standards and company policies.
  • Assist with cleanroom garbing, hand hygiene, line clearance, and work area disinfection.
  • Complete accurate documentation for compounding, cleaning, environmental monitoring, and quality control activities.
  • Make administrative and scheduling calls to patients, providers, and/or caregivers as needed.
  • Perform data entry with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Chart patient progress notes and maintain clear, timely documentation in the pharmacy system.
  • Support prescription processing, order coordination, and communication with the pharmacy team.
  • Maintain inventory of sterile compounding supplies and materials.
  • Label, package, and stage compounded products for final pharmacist review.
  • Participate in training, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

  • Current pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by the state.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician credential preferred or required, depending on state and employer policy.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
