This role focuses on creating intuitive, reliable, and efficient experiences within embedded systems by translating user needs, technical constraints, and product requirements into thoughtful design outcomes.

The UX/UI Product Designer works within established UX frameworks and collaborates closely with industrial design, engineering, and product teams to ensure high-quality execution aligned with Milwaukee Tool's brand and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute design work within established UX/UI standards, including interaction patterns, visual language, and interface conventions

  • Collaborate with industrial design, engineering, and product teams to address user and technical challenges

  • Develop graphical interface elements both on-tool and on-screen to support cohesive end-to-end experiences

  • Support usability, human factors, and accessibility considerations throughout the product development process

  • Communicate and document design intent clearly from concept through implementation

Design Duties

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (industrial design, engineering, project leadership, product marketing) to understand user needs, constraints, and product goals

  • Translate research insights and requirements into wireframes, user flows, and interface designs

  • Create prototypes (low- to high-fidelity) to communicate interaction models and validate design concepts

  • Contribute to usability testing activities, including test planning, execution, and synthesis of findings

  • Iterate on designs based on feedback, testing results, and technical feasibility

  • Document interaction behaviors, UI specifications, and design rationale for development teams

  • Ensure designs align with Milwaukee Tool's brand, usability expectations, and product standards

  • Stay current on UX trends, tools, and best practices

Education & Experience Requirements
