Job description

UI/UX Designer

Duration: 3 Months
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to support the full design lifecycle, including user research, interaction design, visual design, usability, accessibility, and design system development.

Key Responsibilities

User Flows & Wireframing

  • Develop sitemaps to structure website hierarchy and navigation.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and low-fidelity prototypes.
  • Design intuitive user experiences with clear navigation and streamlined workflows.
  • Develop designs for dashboards, reporting interfaces, and multi-step workflows.

Interaction Design

  • Define user interactions, animations, transitions, and component states.
  • Design intuitive experiences for hover, active, loading, and error states.
  • Ensure consistent interaction patterns across the application.

UI & Visual Design

  • Develop polished and consistent visual designs.
  • Apply typography, color palettes, iconography, and other visual elements.
  • Create high-fidelity, pixel-perfect UI mockups.
  • Develop and maintain reusable design system components.

Accessibility

  • Ensure designs follow WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Apply appropriate color contrast, scalable typography, accessible labels, and screen-reader-friendly design practices.
  • Incorporate accessibility throughout the design lifecycle.

Developer Handoff

  • Translate designs into clear developer specifications.
  • Use tools such as Figma Dev Mode to communicate spacing, padding, component behavior, and asset requirements.
  • Provide design documentation and walkthroughs to development teams.
Deliverables
  • User personas and journey maps.
  • Workflow maps and service blueprints.
  • Wireframes, user flows, and low-fidelity prototypes.
  • High-fidelity UI designs and mockups.
  • Dashboard and reporting interface designs.
  • Multi-step workflow designs.
  • Handoff-ready design files and documentation.
  • Walkthrough notes and developer specifications.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of UX/UI design experience.
  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, or Zeplin.
  • Strong experience in user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
  • Experience creating responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility and WCAG standards.
  • Experience working with design systems and reusable UI components.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
