Unique Skills:

Create and execute customer-facing design solutions across digital experiences (UX/UI), advertisements, print and physical space executions. Manage and develop a talented team of graphic and UX/UI designers. Balance team management responsibilities with hands-on design projects.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. 6 years of creative development experience (including but not limited to print and digital advertising, collateral, email and direct mail campaigns, magazine and website creative, event support) to include experience managing professional level employees or program management.
Position Purpose:
Utilize design skills, thought leadership and management experience to create and execute customer-facing design solutions across digital experiences (UX/UI), advertisements, print and physical space executions. Manage and develop a talented team of graphic and UX/UI designers. Ensure all designs meet strategic objectives, quality expectations and follow brand guidelines. Balance team management responsibilities with hands-on design projects.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  1. Serves as a creative thought leader who conceives, pitches and executes designs for various customer facing brand activations to meet business objectives .
  2. Designs for web, including user experience design (UX) and user interface design (UI), print and physical space using expert knowledge of creative programs, trends and global preferences .
  3. Art directs photoshoots and partners with photographers, designers, writers and creative directors to bring creative visions to life .
  4. Manage daily operations of design team, ensuring deliverables are on time and meet quality expectations .
  5. Conducts and participates in strategic and process planning activities representing the design team .
  6. Act as SME when interacting with internal customers (including Leadership, Sales, Customer Support and Executive Assistants) and external vendors, contractors and partners. Communicate any requirements between parties .
  7. Supervise creative employees of similar expertise during campaigns and projects. Lead cross-functional teams .
  8. Communicate performance expectations, conduct performance reviews and advise direct reports .
  9. Develop and evaluate project plans and creative concepts .
  10. Identify and enforce departmental policies and procedures .
  11. Establish and execute objectives that support organization goals .

Additional Functions:
  1. Trains, coach and mentors others .
  2. Contribute input to annual budgeting initiatives .
  3. Supports management in recruiting and hiring .
  4. Oversee and support creative production schedules, resources and equipment .
  5. Research and integrate new technologies and processes into the department providing recommendations to Senior Management and requesting appropriate budget .

Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
  1. A Masters degree may be used to offset one year of experience.
  2. Has a mastery of type, color, illustration, textural elements and layout and uses each as appropriate to achieve concept-driven design solutions.
  3. Technical expertise in PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign and Figma.
  4. Has basic understanding of HTML, CSS and modern web technologies.
  5. Is comfortable with feedback and adapts quickly to changing information.
  6. Excellent customer service, communication, planning, time management and organization skills.
  7. Experience working in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  8. Is passionate about design thinking.
This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
