As a Senior UI Designer, you will partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to create high-quality digital experiences that align with both user needs and business goals.You'lllead large-scale visual initiatives from concept to execution while translating user research and insights into cohesive, high-craft design across our entire product interface. Most daysyou'llbe obsessing overgradients, spacing, and the exact button radius; some daysyou'lllead ideation sessions or support user researchwith detailed prototypes.Through intentional, thoughtful interface design,you'llbuild anexperience thatemotionallyconnectswith our users, while contributing to and evolving the design system.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the visual design of large-scale digital product initiatives, serving as the primary design owner for key feature areas.

  • Create high-fidelity UI designs that elevate the user experience.

  • Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to translate product requirements intoimpactfulinterface designs.

  • Produce detailed mockups, prototypes, and design specifications that support efficient development and implementation.

  • Contribute to the evolution and governance of the design system, ensuring consistency across products and platforms.

  • Create and document scalable UI patterns, components, and visual standards.

  • Review and QA implemented designs to ensurea high levelof visual quality and fidelity throughout the development process.

  • Stay current on visual design trends, interaction patterns, and emerging technologies to continuously raise the quality of our digital experiences.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in UI Design and/or Product Design for software products.

  • Experience designing for mobile or touchscreens

  • Exceptional visual design skills,demonstratedthrough a strong portfolio ofpolished digital product work.

  • Expertise intypography, layout, color theory, visual hierarchy, and moderninterface design.

  • Experience leading large, research-informed visual initiatives from conceptthrough execution.

  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating best-in-class user interfaces.

  • Experience designing andmaintainingscalable design systems andcomponentlibraries.

  • Proficiencyin Figma and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Strong understanding of modern web and native application design patterns.

  • Experience collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale.

  • Experience working within established brand guidelines while helping evolve visual identity across digital products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experiencedesigning forconnected devices, consumer technology products, or fitness-related digital experiences.

  • Familiarity with motion design, micro-interactions, and prototyping tools.

The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $93,000 - $135,900 annually.The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Rosemont, IL and the actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
