Job description

About the Opportunity

About the opportunity:Join a mission-driven team developing advanced cybersecurity platforms that protect hospitals and clinics from cybersecurity threats. This position will help build Whole-Hospital Simulations (WHS)-realistic testbeds that emulate healthcare environments-and Vulnerability Mitigation Platforms (VMPs) that safeguard medical devices and both clinical and non-clinical networks. The work will directly impact patient safety and digital resilience in some of the most vulnerable healthcare settings. If successful, your engineering will revolutionize the healthcare pen testing marketplace to shift from compliance-based thinking to "how gracefully does your hospital fail and how quickly recover when under attack" thinking. The platforms will also cause a paradigm shift in the medical device security regulatory frameworks to shift evaluations from component-level thinking of individual medical devices to whole-hospital system thinking of oodles of interacting medical devices and more.
  • Reports to the Technical Lead and Program Manager.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams including system architects, cybersecurity researchers, hospital liaisons, and software engineers.
  • May mentor junior UI developers or interns as needed.
  • Participates in regular program reviews, sprint planning, and stakeholder engagement sessions.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:(25%) Design and develop intuitive user interfaces and interactive dashboards for the Vulnerability Mitigation Platform (VMP), enabling hospital IT teams and non-technical administrators to visualize and manage complex cyber environments-including digital twins and Whole-Hospital-Simulation (WHS) configurations-with clarity and efficiency.(30%) Work cross-functionally with technical teams and partner hospitals to integrate emulators, detection tools, and remediation modules into the Vulnerability Mitigation Platform (VMP), while conducting user research and usability testing to ensure the interface meets the practical needs of hospital IT staff and administrators.(25%) Transform complex backend processes into intuitive, actionable UI components, while driving rapid prototyping and iterative interface development within Whole-Hospital-Simulation (WHS) sandbox environments.(10%) Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and healthcare data protection standards.(10%) Document UI workflows and provide training materials for hospital stakeholdersCore Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development for complex systems.
Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Strong understanding of secure design principles and accessibility standards.
Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js).
Familiarity with backend integration (RESTful APIs, GraphQL).
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
