Senior Visual Designer

Description -

HP is seeking an exceptional Senior Visual Designer to elevate the visual experience across consumer printing products and services used by millions of customers worldwide. This role will define and deliver visual design across HP's ecosystem, combining design excellence, strategic thinking, technical expertise, and user insight to create innovative, user-centered solutions while mentoring designers and strengthening collaboration.

As a senior member of the design organization, you will apply visual design expertise, systems thinking, and customer empathy to create intuitive, engaging, and differentiated experiences that strengthen HP's brand and support measurable business outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to help shape the next generation of connected print experiences.

Core Responsibilities

Visual Experience Design

  • Create high-fidelity user interface designs for across web, mobile, and printer front-panel platforms.

  • Develop visual concepts, layouts, illustrations, iconography, motion graphics, and interaction patterns that elevate the customer experience.

Customer-Centered Design

  • Collaborate with User Experience designers, marketing, program managers, and engineers to deliver world-class product experiences.

  • Coordinate with development teams to ensure feasible, well-implemented design solutions.

  • Deliver wireframes, prototypes, specifications, style guides, and other high-quality visual assets.

Design Systems & Brand Excellence

  • Contribute to HP's design systems, visual standards, and component libraries.

  • Ensure consistency across mobile, web, desktop, embedded, and service experiences.

  • Maintain alignment with HP brand guidelines while evolving modern visual language patterns.

Innovation & Emerging Experiences

  • Explore opportunities to incorporate AI, personalization, automation, and adaptive experiences into customer journeys.

  • Drive visual innovation through experimentation, rapid prototyping, and trend analysis.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define the future of print experiences.

Delivery & Quality

  • Create and maintain documentation for design specs, component behaviors, and visual scenarios.

  • Present concepts to stakeholders and refine designs based on feedback.

  • Bring experience with industry-leading AI creative tools, design tools, and AI platforms.

  • Apply AI-driven workflows for concept generation, visual exploration, design systems, content generation, and rapid prototyping.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Graphic Design / Fine Arts.

  • 6-8 years of experience in Graphic/Visual Design or Fine Arts.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design projects across web and mobile platforms.

  • Expert proficiency in:

  • Figma

  • Adobe Creative Suite

  • Prototyping tools

  • Design systems and component libraries

  • Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.

  • Ability to communicate technical visual specs and collaborate across disciplines.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing connected device ecosystems, IoT products, or consumer technology experiences.

  • Experience with mobile-first product design.

  • Familiarity with printer setup, connectivity, onboarding, troubleshooting, or subscription experiences.

  • Knowledge of AI-assisted user experiences and personalization strategies.

  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).

  • Ability to leverage customer analytics and behavioral data to inform design decisions.

The pay range for this role is$105,050to$161,800USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
