Job description

Worldscape is a cutting-edge platform designed to unify distributed data, sensors, and intelligent agents across cloud, on-prem, and edge environments. By combining geospatial intelligence, physics-based 3D simulation, and reward-driven AI, Worldscape enables organizations to build immersive digital twins for predictive modeling, scenario planning, and adaptive decision-making. With a zero-trust security framework, seamless integration with legacy systems, and robust developer tools, Worldscape empowers rapid deployment of agentic applications that drive resilience and efficiency in sectors like logistics, telecom, defense, and infrastructure.

Worldscape is seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to join our fast-moving, innovative Studio team. In this role you will drive the definition and design for Worldscape's client simulation design framework capabilities. The design system provides the components used throughout the client, website, and mobile app for user experience and operation.  As part of our studio team, you’ll contribute to a diverse and successful set of live projects, help define the design of new projects, and collaborate with our cross-functional, world-class team to deliver intuitive and delightful experiences and contribute to the success of the studio.

Working directly with customers and cross-functional teams, you’ll design wireframes, user flows, UI components, and interactive prototypes translating ideas into visually compelling, user-centric interfaces that move from concept to reality.

This is an onsite role that will be located in Redmond, WA.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify, create, and optimize design foundations, reusable components, and high-level patterns for the Worldscape client application that are driven by customer objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and lead exploratory design initiatives, bringing design thinking methodology across the studio team.
  • Deliver artifacts that raise the bar for visual and user experience design, whether you're working on wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, or prototypes.
  • Partner with a multi-disciplinary product and engineering team to own the implementation of your work.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders across teams and organizations to increase adoption and shape the future of our design system.
  • Create and optimize the processes and tools available to our designers, developers, and other consumers to collaborate.
  • Partner with our platform, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to create a consistent cross device customer and user experience
  • Establish and evolve design standards and best practices
Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent design-related field; or commensurate experience.
  • 8+ years of UX design or interaction design experience.
  • 8+ years of design experience creating mockups, wireframes and prototypes for web and mobile applications and/or workflows.
  • Experience using tools such as Figma for prototyping design concepts and for defining and documenting the user interface architecture (UI patterns, components and guidelines).
  • Proficient in establishing, designing, and using design systems and design frameworks.
  • Have an available online portfolio demonstrating samples of design deliverables (design systems, personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes)
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience is game design and understanding how design impacts the overall player experience.
  • Experience with emerging technologies (AR/VR, AI/ML).
  • 5+ years creating designs and using design systems in Figma, preferably across multiple screen sizes.
  • 3+ years prototyping in Figma, Framer, or equivalent software.
  • Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of successfully launched games/applications.
  • Ability to prototype in environments like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS a plus but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and make an impact in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud experience (Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar) a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions.
  • Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity and a track record of leading design projects that have launched.
Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for performance-based bonuses and equity awards.
