Job description

About Tabi:Tabi is changing how people travel by bridging the gap between social media inspiration and real-world exploration. We help users turn TikTok, Instagram, and other Social Media content into organized, actionable maps and Tabs lists. We are a fast-moving startup building the future of discovery.
The Role:We are looking for a versatile Designer who can oscillate between deep product thinking (UX) and high-impact visual storytelling (Marketing). You will be responsible for the end-to-end visual identity of Tabi-from the buttons users press in the app to the content they see on TikTok and Instagram. This position is in-person at our Irvine office.
What You'll Do (UI/UX):
  • Feature Design: Work closely with the founders to design new features for the Tabi mobile app (iOS/Android).
  • User Journeys: Map out how a user goes from seeing a "Date Night" post to saving it and finding it later on a map.
  • Prototyping: Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes in Figma.
  • Usability: Analyze user feedback to simplify all parts of the user lifecycle and experience.

What You'll Do (Marketing/Brand):
  • Social Content: Design high-performing assets for Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest that showcase Tabi's value proposition.
  • App Store Optimization (ASO): Design the screenshots and preview videos for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Brand Evolution: Own and evolve the Tabi brand identity (colors, typography, and "vibe") across all touchpoints.
  • Growth Experiments: Create landing pages and email templates for new user acquisition campaigns.

Who You Are:
  • 1-4+ years of experience in a design role (ideally at a consumer-facing startup or agency).
  • Figma Master: You live in Figma and understand auto-layout, components, and design systems.
  • Visual Storyteller: You know how to make travel look aspirational and organized at the same time.
  • Full-Stack Designer: You aren't afraid to jump from a complex UI flow to a 15-second motion graphic for an ad.
  • Execution First: You take ownership of every piece of design, marketing material, and research plan you make.

Bonus Points:
  • Experience with UGC creation and management.
  • Basic understanding of social media trends.
