Job Overview

Responsible for creating visually striking, user-friendly, and engaging interfaces. This resource works in a team environment to transform complex concepts into simple, elegant, and approachable experiences, services, and products.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Defines and implements design criteria, design guidelines, and design specs that demonstrate experience with industry standards/best practices and corporate visual design guidelines and strategies across desktop software, web, and mobile platforms.

  • Brainstorms, revises and collaborates with an enthusiastic, visually-oriented team.

  • Translates business needs into user experience solutions that meet the needs of a complex organization.

  • Uses advanced knowledge to conduct effective research, including competitive analysis, user and stakeholder interviews, analytics assessment, and heuristic analysis.

  • Creates storyboards, process flows, wireframes, mockups, and experience prototypes to guide development.

  • Develops production-ready, cross-browser front-end code using HTML5/CSS3.

  • Iterates designs based on user feedback research, technology constraints, and market dynamics.

  • Takes a lead role in final design approval process.

  • Works closely with SME's, developers and senior executives.

  • Collaborates with other virtual team members.

  • Provides training and guidance to UX/UI Designers.

Education and/ or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.

Must be organized and can manage multiple projects and respect deadlines.

Ability to speak effectively before leadership teams.

Knowledge/experience with Adobe Creative Suite, front-end development- - HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and5+years of experience in web application and interface design.

Proven expertise and portfolio that demonstrates clean, intuitive, and functional UX/UI design.

Must have experience designing for mobile and responsive design as well as experience in wireframes, mockups, process flow diagrams, and designing thoughtful interactions.

Comprehensive understanding of the capabilities of web browsers across multiple platforms.

Strong knowledge of interaction design and methodology.

Great customer mindset and advocate must absolutely get and care for what drives customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.
