What does a user experience researcher intern do?

A User Experience (UX) Researcher Intern assists in studying how users interact with products and services to improve their overall experience. They help plan and conduct user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and analyze data to uncover user needs and pain points. Their findings guide design and development teams in creating more user-friendly products. This role is ideal for those interested in understanding human behavior and making technology more accessible and enjoyable.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a user experience researcher intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a User Experience Researcher Intern, you need a foundational understanding of UX research methods, human-centered design principles, and typically a background in psychology, HCI, or a related field. Familiarity with usability testing tools, survey platforms, and data analysis software like UserTesting, Qualtrics, or Excel is often required.
