Job description

Who We Are
Verily Health is a data platform and technology company purpose-built to power AI-enabled precision health solutions that accelerate research and improve care for individuals and communities. Uniquely positioned at the intersection of technology, data science, and healthcare, Verily transforms multimodal health data into insights, models, and actions that make healthcare more personalized, predictive, and precise.
Description
As a UX Designer focused on Verily's Care Solutions, you will collaborate with other designers, UX researchers, product managers, software engineers, and clinical specialists to help to solve some of the biggest challenges in healthcare. You will drive the end-to-end design process for a mix of projects, from discovery through to detailed execution, with the opportunity to distill complex problems into simple, beautiful, and valuable experiences that empower people to live healthier.
Please include both a resume and portfolio in PDF format (or website with password) when applying for this opportunity.
Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of one or more parts of the user experience for patients and/or clinical staff, including designing interactions and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with user researchers, product managers, content strategists, and other domain experts to understand needs, identify opportunities and constraints, rapidly iterate designs based on feedback, and plan design strategy.
  • Work with our engineering team to ensure designs are implemented to spec, and collaborate with them to come up with creative solutions when technical challenges arise.
  • Contribute to our UX team culture by contributing to our Verily Design System, participating in design critiques, and supporting cross-Verily UX initiatives, interest groups, and other team activities.
  • Evangelize UX through your quality of work, communication, and user advocacy.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • An outstanding portfolio of thoughtfully designed products and strong visual design execution, demonstrating work across the end-to-end design process, from developing strong conceptual foundations to refining the smallest details with clear rationale.
  • Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field with 4+ years of professional UX Design experience in consumer products, enterprise software, or other relevant areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with proven success working and aligning with cross-functional stakeholders such as product managers, researchers, and software engineers.
  • Familiarity with Figma as well as the technical intricacies of designing accessible, app and/or responsive web applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Past work that focuses on Consumer products, Healthcare, Medical services, or other relevant areas.
  • Experience designing GenAI/LLM, rich data visualizations, complex services, or related design solutions.
  • Proven track record in bringing projects to launch into a commercial market.
