User Experience Intern information

What does a user experience intern do?

A User Experience (UX) Intern assists in designing and improving digital products, such as websites and apps, to ensure they are intuitive and enjoyable for users. Their tasks often include conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, analyzing user feedback, and collaborating with designers and developers. The goal is to help create positive and efficient interactions between users and the product. UX interns gain hands-on experience in the design process while learning industry-standard tools and methodologies.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a user experience intern?

To thrive as a User Experience Intern, you need a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, basic design skills, and familiarity with usability testing, often supported by coursework or a portfolio of relevant projects. Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and user research platforms is typically expected. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills help you effectively gather feedback and work within cross-functional teams. These abilities are crucial for creating intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences and ensuring your design solutions meet both user and business needs.

How does a user experience intern typically collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders during a project?

As a User Experience Intern, you will often work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI designers, developers, and product managers. Your role may involve gathering user feedback, assisting in the creation of wireframes and prototypes, and participating in team meetings to share insights. Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you'll need to clearly articulate user needs and design recommendations while balancing technical and business constraints. This experience will not only enhance your design skills but also help you understand how different roles contribute to the overall product development process.

And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all. Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Job Description

Overview of the Role We are seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to join the Futureforce AMER team. In this role, you will own full-cycle recruiting for Technology and Product organizations - including summer interns, intern conversions, and external new graduates across Software Engineering, Security, AI/ML Research, UX/UI, Design, Product Management, and Platform. You will serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders and a dedicated owner for university partnerships, helping shape early career hiring strategy and deliver an exceptional candidate experience at scale.

Responsibilities

Own full-cycle recruiting for Technology and Product roles in AMER, including summer interns, intern conversions, and external new graduates, while serving as the dedicated recruiting owner for assigned university partnerships - building relationships with career centers, faculty, and student organizations and executing on-campus and virtual hiring events.

Partner with SVP and VP-level stakeholders to shape early career hiring strategy, define candidate profiles, and develop org-level intern and new graduate pipelines, including managing competitive offer processes and navigating visa sponsorship (J-1, Optional Practical Training/Curricular Practical Training, and H-1B) in partnership with Global Mobility.

Manage complex, multi-stakeholder hiring scenarios across Futureforce, industry recruiting, and internal recruiting ownership boundaries, and serve as a process resource for your team on Futureforce policies, system workflows, approved hiring hubs, and intern program guidelines. Share market intelligence and process improvements with the broader Futureforce team, and support specialty programs by developing and presenting enablement content for candidates, new hires, and hiring teams.

Required

Qualifications 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a demonstrated focus on early career, university, or new graduate recruiting in a technical environment. Experience recruiting across technical disciplines including Software Engineering, Security, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and/or Research, with the ability to hold credible conversations with both candidates and hiring managers.

Proven ability to manage competitive offer processes and navigate visa sponsorship workflows (J-1, Optional Practical Training, Curricular Practical Training, or H-1B) in coordination with immigration partners. Demonstrated, hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, or equivalent) in a professional context. Strong organizational skills and data fluency - able to manage high-volume pipelines across concurrent requisitions and use pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and offer acceptance data to inform decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with recruiting systems such as Workday, Beamery, or comparable ATS/CRM platforms. Familiarity with government, national security, or regulated industry hiring. Experience recruiting from computer science and research universities. Background running or contributing to pre-internship or early access talent programs. This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. Unleash Your Potential When you join Salesforce, you'll be limitless in all areas of your life.

Our benefits and resources support you to find balance and be your best, and our AI agents accelerate your impact so you can do your best.
