This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, Denver or Chicago with the expectations to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.

Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Legal SMEs, and UX Research, you will drive data-informed decisions and contribute to scalable, innovative solutions. Your work will directly influence product quality, user adoption, and the evolution of design practices across the organization.

What You'll Deliver

  • Own the end-to-end design of your product area, delivering high-quality, user-centered experiences that drive adoption and impact

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal SMEs to define problems, shape solutions, and influence product priorities

  • Use research, analytics, and stakeholder insights to uncover opportunities and guide design decisions

  • Deliver the right design outputs (concepts, flows, prototypes, or detailed designs) to move work forward effectively

  • Lead cross-functional alignment and drive decisions in complex, fast-moving environments

  • Present design solutions with clear rationale and incorporate feedback to continuously improve outcomes

  • Design experiences across web, mobile, and Microsoft add-ins that enhance legal workflows

  • Quickly build domain expertise and adapt to evolving tools, processes, and ways of working

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years of Product Design experience, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment with shipped products

  • Experience owning design direction for a product area and collaborating with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience designing across web applications, mobile, and/or Microsoft add-ins

  • Proficiency in Figma

  • Strong understanding of UX research and ability to apply insights to design decisions

  • Ability to clearly present design rationale and manage cross-functional feedback

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working in environments where design practices are evolving and helping elevate design quality

  • Working knowledge of AI design principles and interest in emerging agentic product design

  • LegalTech experience

  • Experience using Replit or similar prototyping tools

Pay Transparency for Illinois and Colorado Applicants

The base salary range for this role is $78,000 to $98,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
