Originally a used bookstore, Bookmans has expanded to include various forms of media such as books, video games, music and movies as well as musical instruments, housewares, and collectibles. We buy, sell, and trade with our customers to acquire the majority of our inventory, proudly following a sustainable business model that keeps items out of landfills and gives them new life. Additionally, Bookmans speaks out against censorship and promotes freedom of expression at every turn.
Job Responsibilities:
To apply customer service knowledge to assisting customers with their purchases and questions, continuously incorporating positive customer-focused strategies. Handle cash and trade transactions in an accurate and efficient manner.
Job Requirements:
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Motivation to serve our customers
• Able to efficiently and accurately complete sales transactions
• Ability to deescalate situations that may arise in a retail work environment working with the public
• Cash Handling and POS knowledge.
• Able to adapt to a flexible working schedule with early mornings, evenings, mid-shifts, and weekends
• Must maintain a clean, orderly counter area free of clutter, in front, on top and behind
This is a full-time position (minimum of 30 hours per week)
